Operation S.O.S.

In partnership with Sable Plains Safaris, each year Deeper Roots provides U.S. and international veterans all-expenses-paid trips of a lifetime to South Africa where they spend the week in the Sable Plains conservation area, four hours north of Johannesburg.

While on Sable Plains, attendees participate in safari and personal growth activities geared towards re-lensing their lives and interests. Operation Soldiers on Safari includes safari game drives, photography training with professional photographers, healing and counseling sessions, quiet reflection in nature, and spiritual support.

Operation S.O.S. seeks to provide experiences for veterans with post-traumatic stress to heal, explore new opportunities, and progress toward wholeness.
